Deni has approximately 25 years’ experience in healthcare billing, coding, and provider education/compliance. She currently works with Kaleidoscope Health Systems where she is
involved in process creation, compliance, and support for both in the billing office and the clinics she works with. This includes creating provider fee schedules, staying current on payer policies, and using those policies in provider education, coding, and denial management.  Deni is a member of the National Advisory Board for AAPC and has served on her local chapter board multiple years.

 

James Terbay

James Terbay is an accomplished healthcare operations leader with a decade of distinguished service as a U.S. Army paratrooper in support of the Global War on
Terrorism. Following his separation from the military in 2009, he pursued his passion for healthcare administration at Colorado State University. James currently serves as the Patient Services Director at Capitol Pain Institute, where he plays a pivotal role within the broader Capitol Pain family, an
organization spanning six states and nine ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). He
oversees all advanced-case prior authorizations across the enterprise, ensuring seamless coordination, compliance, and operational efficiency. Under his leadership, his teams consistently maintain an authorization denial rate below 2% a testament to his deep expertise, disciplined processes, and effective use of technology to meet stringent payer requirements. Known for his strategic mindset and commitment to excellence, James has become a trusted authority in prior authorization operations and a key contributor to organizational success. James has been married for 16 years and is the proud father of two children, both currently pursuing degrees in Business Administration.

where she oversees business office operations for a multispecialty provider group. She has over 30 years of experience in healthcare billing, operations, and revenue cycle leadership. Throughout her career, Susan has specialized in implementing systems, identifying operational gaps, and creating streamlined workflows across areas such as prior authorization, patient access, and accounts receivable. She is known for her hands-on, solutions-focused approach and her ability to turn complex challenges into practical, efficient processes. Susan holds a degree in Computer Science and brings a strong analytical, systems-driven perspective to revenue cycle management.

Tammy Gill

Business Office Manager

Tammy Gill is a healthcare professional with an Associate’s Degree in Medical
Billing who has dedicated her career to the medical field. She currently serves as
the Business Office Manager for Midwest Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists, where she oversees billing operations, prior authorization and process improvement
initiatives that support both quality patient care and organizational efficiency.
Tammy is an active member of the Healthcare Leaders Association of Minnesota (HLAMN) and serves on the Payer Relations Committee, collaborating with industry peers and insurance representatives to address reimbursement
challenges, navigate regulatory changes, and strengthen provider–payer partnerships. Her professional focus is centered on ensuring accurate reimbursement, optimizing workflows, and advocating for practical solutions that benefit patients, providers, and the healthcare system as a whole.
