In this session, we will delve into the Health Care Cybersecurity Act of 2024, exploring its implications for
healthcare providers. Attendees will gain insights into the key provisions of the bill, the expected regulatory changes, and the steps they need to take to remain compliant. The presentation will also cover the potential impact of the act on daily operations and long-term strategic planning.

Nate Schmitt

Director of Cybersecurity, CIT

As the Director of Cybersecurity, Nate oversees all aspects of security for CIT and their customers including: vendor management, security operations center, compliance, digital forensics and incident response. Nate’s primary goal is to identify and implement effective security controls that fit within budget and do not hinder business operations. Nate holds a Master’s in Cybersecurity Technology and a Bachelor’s in Organizational Communication, taught at a local university, and holds numerous InfoSec certifications, which enables him to communicate complex security topics to a diverse audience across compliance heavy industries such as education, finance, healthcare and manufacturing.
