Tuesday General Session - AI in Healthcare: Navigating Uses, Risks & Mitigation Strategies

AI tools are being deployed and explored by healthcare companies for their potential across imaging and diagnostics, administration, research and hiring/training of employees. AI represents an exciting frontier of opportunity for many companies but also may introduce new risks. Logan Payne, Director of Emerging Risk and Kevin Hewgley, National Healthcare Financial Services Practice Leader at Lockton, will lead an entertaining discussion around the ways that AI is being used today in healthcare operations, explore some of the risks presented by AI usage and how it may impact insurance coverage before finishing with some thoughts to help you manage and mitigate these risks.

Kevin Hewgley

Kevin Hewgley is a former Cyber Underwriter and manages the national financial services healthcare practice at Lockton. Kevin brings a depth of knowledge pertaining to executive and professional liability management practices. His extensive underwriting background coupled with nearly a decade of mergers and acquisitions work, loss control, risk management, and litigation management allow him to represent his clients from multiple points of view.

Logan Payne leads Lockton’s emerging risk practice and brings 15 years’ experience helping companies proactively uncover new threats or issues, evaluate loss scenarios, and develop pinpoint solutions to mitigate risk.
