Tuesday General Session - Building EQ in the Workplace
Emotional intelligence (EQ) is an integral skill for healthcare leaders to build for fostering connection, collaboration, productivity, and job satisfaction. In this session, we will define and explore the impacts of EQ on both a personal and professional level. Attendees will learn about the core components of emotional intelligence and see how EQ intersects with individual well-being and workplace dynamics.

Hannah Dufek, LADC, LPCC, Care Counseling
Hannah is a licensed mental health therapist and is the Director of Clinical Services at CARE Counseling. She received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and an Addictions Counseling Certificate at Winona State University. Through her work at CARE, Hannah has focused on teaching and training ways to increase confidence lean into understanding cultural identity and humility as it relates to all aspects of personal and professional relationships.
Alice LiuXia, LADC, LPCC, Care Counseling
Alice LiuXia, LADC, LPCC, is a mental health professional and clinical director at CARE Counseling. With a Master of Science degree, Alice is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), specializing in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. She has undergone extensive clinical training and holds certification in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). In addition to her clinical work, Alice is an experienced trainer and presenter, having delivered professional development sessions on topics such as mental health awareness, emotional intelligence, motivational interviewing, co-occurring disorders, and recovery pathways. Her diverse clinical interests include supporting individuals through substance use recovery, navigating life transitions, exploring identity, and empowering those seeking to find their place within minority communities.
